Our Story

In May 2003 in the seaside town of Port Lincoln, South Australia, The Bay Room story begins!

David and Kristy Nisbet offered the people of Eyre Peninsula a unique shopping experience with their warm and welcoming lifestyle store. Striving to continually source unique products The Bay Room quickly outgrew their premises and in May 2005 they relocated to its current address, Shop 1 & 2 /44 Liverpool Street, Port Lincoln.

The new location, a preloved church, is nothing short of a grand edifice! The building is worth a look on its own, with rich history dating back to 1908! Can you believe that at this time the Church was built for just over 1,006 Pounds!? (Roughly $2,000 AUD today!)

The Bay Room not only boasts a unique selection of products that caters to all, but it also seeks to inspire, a wander through The Bay Room will leave one captivated!

Whether you’re treating yourself or spoiling someone else, you won’t be short of choices. Kristy and her team are passionate about what they sell, so much so that they’ll gift wrap it for free with love.

Now with an online store, The Bay Room journey continues down new paths, with more inspiration and enthusiasm than ever being manifested into something that we hope brings joy to many more along the way.
